If you are hesitating about traveling alone, just take courage and go! "Is it okay to travel alone?" I hesitated a little until the day of departure for my trip to Myeongin Hansang in Damyang. Since I had such wonderful memories of the trip to Sancheong that I took through "How to Play," I decided to summon a little more courage this time and take on the challenge of a solo trip to Damyang. But guess what? I would have really regretted it if I hadn't gone. Although I traveled alone, rather than feeling like I was by myself, I was able to naturally mingle with people and enjoy my own time, making it a truly comfortable trip. The vehicle and transportation were also satisfying! The car was clean and well-maintained, and the driver drove calmly and safely, allowing me to enjoy the trip with peace of mind. Damyang Yongmaru-gil When I arrived at Damyang Yongmaru-gil, the sunshine was warm and the autumn breeze was gently blowing. It was weather that made me feel good just by walking. It was a day where photos turned out well no matter how I took them, so I was busy snapping pictures everywhere. Thanks to you, I even managed to get a few photos of a lifetime! **Chuseong Village Distilled Spirit Experience** I also participated in a distilled spirit experience at Chuseong Village as part of the Master Craftsman program. We were a little awkward with each other at first, but once a glass of delicious liquor went down, the atmosphere quickly became warm and friendly. Even though I came alone, before I knew it, we were laughing and talking together. I thought, "Is this the true charm of traveling alone?" I came alone, but I didn't feel alone! Yet, there was also the freedom of not being tied down by anyone. **Damyang's food was top-notch!** The meals were satisfying enough to be called a gourmet trip. From tteokgalbi bursting with juicy flavor to savory bibimbap! The bibimbap, in particular, was even more delicious and savory when mixed together; I still think about it now. After all, it wouldn't be a trip without delicious food! **Gwanbangjerim, Soseowon, Changpyeong Slow City** The history and stories that I might have just passed by if I had only looked around were much more interesting thanks to the explanations from the commentator and guide. It was fun discovering things one by one, thinking, "Ah, so that's what this place is like!" It felt like I was gaining a spoonful of knowledge while traveling. Accommodation: Hound Hotel Personally, I was quite satisfied with the Hound Hotel, where I stayed. It was clean, and the staff were friendly—so much so that I felt I wanted to stay there again if I visited Damyang next time! In the evening, I could enjoy unlimited beer at the lounge, and in the morning, I was able to have a hearty hotel breakfast. Most importantly, I usually have trouble sleeping deeply, but on this day, I slept soundly until a whopping 7:30 in the morning! Whether it was thanks to the trip or the great accommodation, I had a really good night's sleep for the first time in a long while. A Damyang Trip Where I Truly Experienced the Beauty of Slowness This trip to Damyang was not about rushing to snap photos at famous tourist spots, but rather a journey where I could experience things, walk, eat delicious food, talk with people, and sometimes simply gaze at the scenery without a care in the world, enjoying the leisure. Above all, I want to tell those who are hesitating about traveling alone to please take the plunge and give it a try. I was worried it might be awkward traveling alone, but once I actually got there, I was able to blend in so naturally that those worries were completely unfounded. And I think Guide Kim Jeong-nam was at the heart of it all. (I'm not talking about a male guide~ haha) I was truly grateful for his thoughtful assistance and for naturally taking care of me so that even a solo traveler wouldn't feel awkward at all. Thanks to his warm consideration, I felt comfortable throughout the trip, and the conversations we shared were truly enjoyable. A trip where I came alone, but didn't feel alone. The Damyang Myeongin Hansang trip left me with much greater satisfaction than my initial hesitation! Thank you for creating another wonderful memory for me.
