[Yeongwol/1 Night] Samdori Village Mountain Valley Stay | Korean Peninsula Terrain + Raft Experience + Farm Party + Star Gazing ⛰️✨
I never realized how charming Yeongwol was. If I had traveled alone, I probably wouldn't have been able to fully appreciate its true appeal. The two-day, one-night trip to Yeongwol was a special time where people and nature harmonized. At Samdoli Village, the warm hospitality of the friendly residents was particularly impressive. From the barbecue and campfire they prepared with such care to the delicious breakfast, nothing was lacking. Furthermore, they guided us to restaurants known only to locals, allowing us to truly savor the flavors of Yeongwol. The time spent walking slowly while exploring sites like Yoseonam Rock, Yoseonjeong Pavilion, and the Stone Statue of Maitreya Bodhisattva was also wonderful. Although not flashy, simply walking amidst nature was enough to provide a sense of healing. In particular, I didn't have high expectations for the raft experience on the Korean Peninsula-shaped terrain, but it offered unexpected enjoyment. Dipping our feet in the cool river water and listening to the funny stories told on the raft kept us laughing non-stop. Hearing about the origin of the phrase "Nonatne" (meaning "to have a great time"), as well as the history and stories of the people of Yeongwol, made me feel an even deeper sense of affection. This trip was filled not only with beautiful scenery but also with the warmth and stories of the people. Thanks to you, I now want to visit Yeongwol again. I would like to thank the residents of Samdoli Village and the staff of Danim Travel Agency for creating such wonderful memories.
