[Geochang/1 Night] Singing Bowl in Nature + Yoga + Tea Meditation + Healthy Food - Local Wellness Retreat 🧘🏻♀️
My anticipation began the moment I started planning the trip. I met the guide in Yongsan and boarded the bus, and the initial awkwardness was short-lived! I always feel a sense of kinship with the guide's friendliness and generosity. The singing bowls at Dongho Forest were wonderful, but being my first time, I felt I lacked the energy to fully feel them. Walking the forest path, participating in tea meditation, and listening to stories about moving to the countryside allowed me to envision my life after retirement. Although the meditation didn't truly connect with me, it served as an opportunity for self-reflection. The two hours of heartfelt instruction from the petite yoga instructor were a truly meaningful time that helped me objectively compare myself in my 40s with myself as I approach 60. Although our religions differ, the meal, served with genuine sincerity, was a work of art. It made me wish I had more time to enjoy the place even more. The accommodation also had the feel of a modern pension rather than a typical temple stay, and it is a shame I didn't take any photos. The morning air at Healing Land with its Y-shaped suspension bridge, the tranquil harbor, the open-air baths at Baekdusan Hot Springs, and the taste of the set meals and Hanwoo bulgogi at the old restaurant that opened in '81— It was a trip where nothing was wasted.
