The farmhouse I first encountered caught my eye precisely because it wasn't flashy. From the faded tiles of the Western-style house and the well-worn wooden doorknobs to the wildflowers blooming in a corner of the yard, everything felt like a scene from a vintage 80s movie. Although there were no stimulating attractions, simply strolling through the yard with a cup of freshly brewed coffee was enough. The scenery of this modest farmhouse taught me anew the "way of walking slowly." "There are times when simplicity resonates more deeply than extravagance. This small farmhouse in Gochang was just such a place for me."
