[Chuncheon/1 Night] Gochujang (red chili paste) making experience + Tojong-dak-baeksuk (whole boiled native chicken soup) + Bulmeong (gazing into a campfire) | Moonlight Journey Under Samaksan Mountai
It was a truly healing experience where I felt pampered amidst the tranquil mountain scenery. The package was substantial, and I believe the price is quite reasonable if you apply a discount coupon. We couldn't participate in all the activities because a family member had an early schedule the next day, but we still returned satisfied. My husband's work schedule was urgent, and he suddenly had to work on Sunday. We asked if we could substitute the Jang-making experienceโour main purpose for the tripโon the first day, foregoing the trekking. They readily agreed, allowing us to successfully complete the experience. Honestly, I was prepared to give up if they said it was difficult... I am so grateful. I wasn't expecting the welcome tea offered upon arrival, as we had skipped the village explanation when we decided to skip the trekking, but they brought it to our room. The plum tea, made with plum syrup produced in the village, tasted really good. However, I think the level of satisfaction might vary slightly depending on who the guest in the adjacent room is. I assume they booked late and were aware that their room might be small. There are only two rooms and two room options, and the room specifications are likely listed in the option details. However, on the day of check-in, I felt that unnecessarily asking to switch rooms out of a hopeful expectation crossed the line and was a shameless act; it was the sole factor that lowered our satisfaction with the trip. Since my husband needed to handle work and our child needed to rest, we required separate rooms and declined the room swap. Despite having a clear reason, I feel a lingering sense of unease and regret, as if a burden has remained on my conscience. I think the choice will likely vary depending on what you prioritize. Even taking that into account, considering the atmosphere and environment of Myeongwol Eco-Village, the composition of the experience programs, and the generous meals, I would be willing to revisit. It was a place I wanted to recommend to my acquaintances as well. Next time, I hope to participate in the program with respectable people who do not engage in shameless behavior that disregards burdening others with unnecessary feelings.
