[Day Trip/Cheongyang] Alps Village of Five Senses l Sweet Potato Dumplings + Animal Feeding🐰🌿
The scenery along the way was so atmospheric and beautiful that I felt a sense of healing even before arriving. The time spent traveling while admiring the surrounding landscape felt like part of the trip itself, making me realize why this place is so famous. The sweet potato dumpling making experience was also really fun. As I handled the dough and made them one by one, memories of cooking classes from my childhood came flooding back, making me feel warm and fuzzy inside. It felt like I had returned to my childhood innocence, even if only for a moment. Having these hands-on programs made my visit more fulfilling and memorable. It was a bit disappointing that I couldn't ride the "Tin Can Train" I had been looking forward to because of the heavy rain, but I think it was actually better that way, as I was able to fully enjoy the quiet and calm atmosphere instead. The carrot leaves I received during the animal feeding experience were much bigger and longer than I expected, which was fascinating at first. Seeing the animals slowly pick out only the delicious leaves to eat, rather than gobbling up their food, made me think, "Ah, the animals here are truly loved." In other places, perhaps to encourage food purchases, the animals often looked hungry and ate in a hurry; however, here, their fur was glossy and there was almost no smell of excrement, giving me the impression that the place was truly well-maintained. The coffee and dessert I had at the cafe on the third floor were even better than expected, and since the deck connected the cafe to the suspension bridge, I really enjoyed the time I spent walking in the rain. Walking slowly while listening to the sound of the rain calmed my mind and made me feel truly healed. Next time, I definitely want to visit again during a season with nice weather, like spring or autumn. Then, I really want to ride the "Tin Can Train," which I was disappointed to miss this time.
