I visited Maisan, and the meals were absolutely wonderful, the village was lovely, and the accommodation was very clean and nice. However, despite being Maisan, there was no free time available there. It seems to take about an hour round trip from the parking lot to the mountain at a brisk pace. After getting off at Maisan, the guide told us to gather at the bus in an hour. Although I thought the mountain was close, I ended up just taking a few photos and rushing back down. I think it would be better to allow a bit more time at Maisan and schedule the Rainbow Bridge for the next day.
