Deciding to go to Jeongdong in the spring was an excellent choice. It was my first time seeing Deoksugung Palace with its plum blossoms in full bloom! I was deeply moved by the teachers' fluent commentary, the glimpses of patriotism they showed, and the stories about the Koreans who loved our country and made significant contributions. It was a wonderful gathering to reflect on our modern history—a history we feel we know, yet do not fully understand.
