It has been 13 years since our gathering... We are finally on our first trip in 3 years due to various reasons, a journey we used to take every year. The road leads to a quiet and beautiful village~ Upon arrival, we were greeted by the meticulous and tidy personalities of the kind owner couple at the accommodation. We enjoyed a red ginseng jelly making experience made with genuine care, as well as a foot bath with various herbs to relieve fatigue. We were welcomed with a dinner featuring black pork (the roasted sweet potatoes were also delicious ^^) and breakfast, using ingredients they personally grew themselves—including all the sauces, fish sauce, and kimchi. For the first time in a long while, I felt like I was sitting at a table prepared by a mother for her child~ The sleeping arrangements were incredibly comfortable and warm, and the thoughtful consideration was evident in the fur slippers and vests they provided. It was a fulfilling trip, enough to heal all of us—weary from our busy city lives—in just 1 night and 2 days. I was deeply moved by the owner couple's sincere farming philosophy. I cannot forget the crisp air that pierced my lungs, the heavy snowfall, the stars in the night sky, and the bright smiles of the owners. I am looking forward to our next trip soon in the warm spring!!! I am so excited to see what the lush spring will be like~ It is our 13th year of gathering...
